SAP Basis & AWS Infrastructure Consultant
The challenge
We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis & AWS Infrastructure Consultant with strong hands-on expertise administering SAP environments hosted on Amazon Web Services. The role requires experience across SAP Basis administration, operating systems, backup and restore procedures, AWS networking, compute, storage, security, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
What you'll do
- Administer SAP systems hosted on AWS infrastructure.
- Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration and technical system monitoring.
- Manage AWS EC2 instances supporting SAP application and database environments.
- Support operating system administration for SAP servers, primarily Linux and Windows environments.
- Execute and validate backup and restore procedures for SAP environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot AWS storage components, including EBS volumes, snapshots, and related backup mechanisms.
- Support system recovery, disaster recovery, and infrastructure restoration activities.
- Configure and troubleshoot AWS networking components, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and connectivity.
- Support connectivity between SAP systems, AWS services, corporate networks, VPNs, and external environments.
- Monitor infrastructure capacity, availability, performance, and system health.
- Support SAP kernel upgrades, system copies, refreshes, patching, and technical maintenance activities.
- Manage SAP transports and system-level technical configuration.
- Coordinate SAP application, database, operating system, and infrastructure activities.
- Analyze and resolve technical incidents across SAP, OS, database, network, and AWS infrastructure layers.
- Support planned maintenance, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture diagrams, and recovery procedures.

What we're looking for
- Proven hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Consultant or Administrator.
- Strong practical experience managing SAP environments hosted on AWS.
- Experience administering AWS EC2 infrastructure.
- Experience with AWS VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, and network connectivity.
- Experience managing EBS volumes, snapshots, AMIs, and storage-related activities.
- Hands-on experience executing backup and restore procedures.
- Experience supporting system recovery and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Strong Linux administration experience in SAP environments.
- Experience with Windows Server administration is desirable.
- Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver and SAP S/4HANA technical architecture.
- Experience with SAP system monitoring, transports, kernel maintenance, system copies, and refreshes.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across SAP, operating system, network, database, and cloud infrastructure layers.
- Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
